What we collect
Nothing. Omni-Present has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no trackers of any kind. We have no way to see your recordings, transcripts, summaries, speaker names, or anything else you create in the app — and we like it that way.
How the app handles your data
All processing — recording, transcription, speaker diarization and recognition, and (by default) summarization — happens locally on your device using on-device models. Your sessions are stored on your device, under your control. Deleting a session deletes it; deleting the app deletes everything.
Microphone access
The app asks for microphone permission so it can record when you start a session. Audio is captured and processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
iCloud sync (optional)
If you enable sync, your sessions are stored in your own private iCloud database so they can appear on your other devices. This data is governed by your Apple account and Apple's privacy policy; we cannot access it. Audio files stay on the device they were recorded on.
Cloud summaries (optional, your own key)
By default, summaries are generated on-device. You may optionally provide your own API key for a third-party AI provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) to generate summaries in the cloud. If you do, the transcript of the session you summarize is sent directly from your device to that provider under your account and their terms and privacy policy — it never passes through us. Your API key is stored securely on your device and is only used to talk to the provider you chose.
Children's privacy
Because we collect no data from anyone, we also collect no data from children.
Your responsibilities
Recording laws vary by place. You are responsible for notifying participants and obtaining their consent where required by law before recording a conversation.
Changes to this policy
If the app's privacy practices ever change, we will update this page and the effective date above. Given the app's design — no servers, no collection — we don't expect much to change.
